Fortnite has been disappointing recently

I’ve been playing Fortnite since sophomore year of high school and have enjoyed casually playing ever since. This is probably a lot later than most people started playing, but that’s okay, I think I’ve made up for lost time. Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of ads for Fortnite for their collaboration with Adventure Time, a popular TV show on Cartoon Network. The item shop has Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, Jake, and Finn with accessories that fit into the games, and all the skins look amazing. My issue is that everything is so expensive. I understand that Fortnite knows how big of a deal Adventure Time is and that many players will want to buy the skins.
This is similar to the situation with Avatar The Last Airbender skins, the TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) skins, and other skins from TV shows or video games. Fortnite has a “bundle” with all of the Adventure Time skins, and that alone is 3,800 V-Bucks. To put that into perspective, 3,800 V-Bucks equal 32 dollars. That amount already is pretty insane for just skins and the backblings that come with them. However, there are many other accessories that diehard Adventure Time fans might want to buy that aren’t included in the bundle. There’s a BMO backbling, a Lumpy Space Princess backbling, a Jake glider, and three emotes that point to popular moments from the series. Not to mention the Adventure Time car, where the player gets a special type of vehicle in the game that has an Adventure Time paint job. All of these accessories are 4,900 vbucks, which is 37 dollars. So, in total, if someone were to get all these skins, accessories, and emotes because they love Adventure Time, it would cost 69 dollars.
Imagine what else that money could buy, and seems a little outrageous, doesn’t it? That’s because it is! Obviously a fan of the show could only get one skin, but they want a pickaxe and backbling to match. Those are the most basic items for a skin's layout. That’s 22 dollars. This isn’t sustainable, and overall it’s way too expensive. These items used to be included with a character for 1,500 vbucks. But Fortnite has chosen to now separate everything to make it “more customizable,” when in reality they want to make more money off of players who want to have the same experience they used to. I’m not sure if this practice will continue, but I’m sure it will since it has already been happening for a year. But it sucks because so many kids will be asking their parents for these skins when they are unaffordable, and I know it’s just a game at the end of the day, but for some people it’s more than that. Fortnite has its own status quo, and skins are a very big part of that, especially with Battle Pass qualities on the decline. If you don’t look cool playing then you’re a “newb” and can’t compare with the “OG’s.” I hope Fortnite realizes how insanely expensive their skins are becoming and maybe revert back to when a skin at least had a back bling and pickaxe included.
