A Magical Planner
What have I been doing to cope with what is going on with the world? Honestly, I’m still trying to figure that out. One of my main things is having some sort of schedule. I like to feel as if I have something to look forward to at least once a day.
I purchased this planner recently that is helping me do just that, but one thing I can say for sure is that I had no idea what kind of planner I was buying. I got up one morning and it was in the mail. The planner was about 7” x 9” and an inch thick. While I was placing my order, I realized how fancy this planner might end up being, but still had no idea. While placing the order it first, gave me the option to pick the color of the coils and the design of the front cover. Of course, I went with neutral. My style tends to stick with blues, whites, grays and black.
After this, I had the option to customize the layout! I was way too excited to get to choose exactly what my planner was going to look like. I chose vertical because I feel as if writing in this way looks more appealing but that might just be me.
I finally got to the last step of this planner customization process: choosing the colors on the inside. Now, like I stated earlier, I tend to stick with more neutral colors, but I decided to try something a bit out of my comfort zone. I chose the option “colorful”. Little did I know how much having those small pops of colors every time I opened my planner would help brighten up my day in what feels like a black and white world.
I didn't realize how many possibilities there are around us to be creative every day. This planner is a perfect example of that. I got to help “create” my own custom planner and everytime I write in it, I remind myself to always keep my creativity flowing because without it, this world feels a bit too dull. I am reminded by the pops of blues on the pages, the bright yellows on the monthly tabs and the large array of stickers on the last few pages that at the end of the day there is always something to look forward to, and that is what is helping me cope.
